Who am I? Boku no Jinsei is a typographic book that began as an introduction to typography but became something much more personal. It is paired with a Spotify playlist of songs whose messages resonated with me most and became part of my story. Together, they form a collection of moments that capture who I was during that period of my life.

Inspired by a deck of cards, the book is divided into eight narrative chapters (The Fracture, The Pull, The Burn, The Mirror, SURGE, The Shift, The Rain, and The Return) featuring songs in English, Japanese, and Korean. Using hook brackets, each page is framed to resemble a playing card, with each chapter opening with a custom header card. Every layout is guided by the flow of its song, with emphasis on lyrics that speak to me. Hidden at the end of select chapters are small notes and letters to my future self that quietly add another layer the story. Each page represents a single moment. Together, they create a memory.

The book can be experienced in two ways: 

1. Listen to the playlist while following the book in order.

2. Shuffle the playlist and turn to the corresponding page.
    

Just as I continue to write my story, Boku no Jinsei is never truly finished. It simply serves as a bookmark to the period of my life in which it was created. It leaves room to grow as new experiences become new stories. As you explore it, I hope you find at least one thing that resonates with you.
